THE TUCSON FILM OFFICE NEW FILMMAKER AWARD

WINNER: Tanya Núñez for her film, DIOS NUNCA MUERE (GOD NEVER DIES) – Sponsored by the Tucson Film office, this award comes with a $500 cash prize for achievement in overall filmmaking/directing.

THE FANCY FILM AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN SCREENWRITING

WINNERS: Isabelle Smith, Chloe Heinemann, and Alicia Farmer for Isabelle Smith’s film, KISS – This award is for achievement in screenwriting and is sponsored by Fancy Film, a full service post facility in Los Angeles. The winner of this prize receives an exhibition services grant that will allow the winning filmmaker to professionally present his or her film at the top international film festivals on the festival circuit, and includes an HDCAM master, a 2K unencrypted DCP, a professionally created DVD master and 10 DVD copies, a and professionally created Blu-ray master and five Blu-ray copies.

THE ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN PRODUCING

WINNERS: Brittney Olsen and Luke Livermore for the film GLASS by Margaret Adams, and Isabelle Smith, Emily Quinn and Christina Riccione, for the film KISS by Isabelle Smith – Sponsored by Entertainment Partners, the leading provider of budgeting and scheduling software for the film industry, the winner of these two awards will receive complementary copies of the Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling software package.

THE OWC AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN EDITING

WINNER: Evan Colten for his film, PIZZA – Sponsored by Other World Computing, the winner of this award will receive $500 in gift certificates for products from Other World Computing, the leading provider of hard drives and peripherals for the Mac community.

THE POLLUTION STUDIOS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN CINEMATOGRAPHY

WINNER: Chance Roberts for the film RETRIBUTION by Christopher Claxton – This award comes with a $500 credit toward studio and/or equipment rentals at Pollution Studios, a full service studio and equipment rental facility in Los Angeles.

THE UA HANSON FILM INSTITUTE AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN PRODUCTION DESIGN

WINNERS: Sara Luu and Rachel Buttenhoff for the film DAISIES FOR TWO by Ana Quiñones, and Christina Close and Allison Klemes for the film RETRIBUTION by Christopher Claxton – winners of this award, sponsored by the UA Hanson Film Institute, receive a $250 cash prize for achievement in production design.
