Growing up on the internet, Sean-David Ta found an interest for filmmaking through watching videos and TV clips on YouTube. However, as streaming platforms like Netflix and Hulu became mainstream, Ta noticed that paid platforms offered accessibility options like closed captions and audio descriptions that were missing from easily accessible, free-to-watch media sites like YouTube. After writing subtitles and alternative descriptions for their student films and promotional posts, they hope to create more accessible art post-graduation.
